What to wear?
As a general rule, you need a hat and a sun screen in summer and
comfortable footwear. In winter a very good jumper/jacket and
a beanie.
However, it is important to remember that whilst it is cooler
in winter there is more rainfall during summer time and a light
rain coat and/or umbrella.
Do not forget to listen to the weather forecast the day before.
How about the weather?
A wet and cool day or a day with a high cloud cover can be as
rewarding as a sunny day in the Blue Mountains. The waterfalls
tend to be more impressive, the wildlife is more active, it is
more pleasant for bushwalking and the blue affect is even stronger!
The only difficulty for sightseeing on the Blue Mountains is
mist. This is very hard to predict and can even occur when it
is a sunny weather forecast for Sydney!
Does Oz Trails cancel a tour?
We never cancel a tour. In extreme cases of a very poor weather
forecast or a tragic event on the road leading to the Blue Mountains,
we may reserve the right to cancel the tour. There will be no
cost to you and alternative date or alternative tour operate will
be offered to you.
Do we visit a wildlife park?
We do NOT visit a wildlife park. A wildlife park is basically
a zoo. The wildlife park which most Blue Mountains tour operators
use is NOT “wild” and located in a suburb of Sydney
and NOT on the Blue Mountains.
Do we see wildlife?
One of the highlights of the our tour is meeting Australian wildlife
in NATURE inside the BLUE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK. We do not feed
them or touch them but you can stand very very close to take a
photo. The road leading to this location is accessible 98% of
the year and we always see them!
How large is the group and what vehicles do we use?
We take on the trip for F.I.T’s up to 24 people in a deluxe
air-conditioned mini-coach.
Our buses are accredited by the RTA and the Ministry of Transport.
