Is the tour suitable for all?
This tour is for everyone. For young and “young in spirit”. The walks are pleasant and can be done by people of all ages and level of fitness.
What to wear?
As a general rule, you need a hat and a sunscreen in summer and comfortable footwear. In winter a very good jumper/jacket and a beanie.
However, it is important to remember that whilst it is cooler in winter there is more rainfall during summer time so bring a light raincoat and/or umbrella.
Do not forget to listen to the weather forecast the day before.
How about the weather?
We do not cancel tours because of bad weather except in extreme conditions (happened only ONCE between 1999-2014). below is a special note for the Blue Mountains but general applies to all tours.
A wet and cool day or a day with a high cloud cover can be as rewarding as a sunny day in the Blue Mountains. The waterfalls tend to be more impressive, the wildlife is more active, it is more pleasant for bushwalking and the blue effect is even stronger!
The only difficulty for sightseeing on the Blue Mountains is mist. This is very hard to predict and can even occur when there is a sunny weather forecast for Sydney!!!
Does Oz Trails cancel a tour?
We usually never cancel a tour. In extreme cases of a very poor weather forecast or a tragic event on the road leading to the Blue Mountains, we may reserve the right to cancel the tour. There will be no cost to you and alternative date or alternative tour operator will be offered to you.
How large is the group and what vehicles do we use?
We take on the trip for F.I.T’s up to 24 people in a deluxe air-conditioned mini-coach. Our buses are accredited by the RTA and the Ministry of Transport.
