Blue Mountains Ultimate Tour

Explore one of Australia’s natural marvels; waterfalls, temperate rainforest, canyons, eucalyptus forests, rich flora and fauna. Enhance the experience visiting Koala Park and Waradah Aboriginal Centre.

1a. Koala Sanctuary Park

Crossing Sydney Harbour on the famous “Coat Hanger” (The Sydney Harbour Bridge) our first stop is one of the most unique wildlife Parks in Australia. Koala Sanctuary Park was opened in 1930 to promote the Koalas conservation and prevent this lovable animal’s extinction.

It is still one of the few places in the world where you can learn about the koala, feed one and see them living naturally in the rainforest, eucalyptus groves and native gardens of the sanctuary. They share their tranquil home with other Australian native animals and birds:Red & Grey Kangaroos, Dingoes, Wombats, Echidnas, Emus, Wallabies and more.

1b. If you have already met Australian wildlife you can instead enjoy a pleasant walk in Cumberland State Forest

This 40-hectare oasis of green in Sydney’s North Western suburbs beckons you to explore the perfect urban forest, which is an important component of the natural beauty of Sydney. Three trails to experience:

1.Discover how native forests are managed in NSW by walking the Forestry Trail.

2.Explore moist rainforest on the Palm Gully Trail.

3.Touch, hear and smell your way along the Sensory Trail.

2. Refreshments next to Glenbrook Visitor Centre

The gateway to the Blue Mountains National Park. Glenbrook has one of the two official Visitor Information Centers of the Blue Mountains.

3. Katoomba

Katoomba, is the largest town and the center of the Blue Mountains.  Katoomba is well known for spectacular mountain views and extensive bush and nature walks.It also boasts the two main and most visited tourist attractions in the Blue Mountains:Scenic World & The Three Sisters rock formation.

4a. Scenic World:

Enjoy all the features that one of Australia’s most visited tourist attractions offers:

Skyway  – Australia’s highest cable car.

Cableway – Australia’s biggest cable car.

Railway – The steepest incline passenger carrying railway in the world.

Walkway – the longest elevated boardwalk in Australia, with 2.4 km inside a temperate rainforest.

Lunch at Scenic World (two food & beverage outlets operating – EATS270 and the Terrace Café) will be at your own expense. Diverse lunch menus consisting of mains, sides and desserts featuring seasonal produce, available in the most picturesque lunch spot in the Blue Mountains.

Hot beverages, snacks, baked goods and cold drinks are available from the Terrace Café. (at your own cost and NOT part of a package).

4b.If you are not interested in the Scenic World experience you can instead choose to walk independently in the area after consulting your tour guide.

5a. Waradah Aboriginal Centre

Educational & Cultural experience, where traditional Aboriginal song, dance & Didgeridoo are presented as well as artwork, dreamtime stories and explanations of traditional Aboriginal way of life.

5b. If you are not interested in the Waradah Aboriginal Centre experience you can instead choose to walk to the Three Sisters at Echo Point

The most famous landmark in the Blue Mountains. A short walk from Echo Point will get you very close to the Three Sisters and the top of the “Giant Stairway”. Meet Meehni (922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m).

6. Leura – The “ Garden Village”

The tour will go through Leura, a charming & picturesque village; delightful blend of boutique shops and magnificent gardens.

7. Sydney Olympic Park

On the way back to Sydney the tour will go through Sydney Olympic Park, home of the year 2000 Olympic Games.

8. River Cruise back to Sydney

Escape the heavy afternoon traffic and unwind on an afternoon cruise along Parramatta River back to Circular Quay (city centre between the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House) where your tour ends.

Blue Mountains Ultimate Tour Info

Pick up Location: 

Complimentary (FREE OF CHARGE) hotel pick up from most accommodation locations in the city centre, as well as from central pick up points in Kings Cross, Darling Harbour, Coogee, Bondi, Manly and Glebe.

Pickup Time: 

We usually pick up between 7.45 am to 8.30 am, and the specific time depends on your location.

When you tell us your accommodation location, you will be given the pick up time. Always allow an extra 10 minutes for the bus to arrive – traffic!

Tour Dates: 

Tours departs on Mondays , Wednesdays , Saturdays.with the exception of Christmas Day (December 25) , New Year’s Eve(December 31) and New Year’s Day ( January 1).
